I’ve always felt that the approach to organizing your company and allocating both people and capital depends on the situation. When the very existence of the organization is threatened, a more centralized approach helps to create quick alignment and efficiency. When attempting to grow, promoting more decentralization and entrepreneurship helps to create more opportunities and innovation. And of course, there are shades of grey in between. I’ll speak to the experiences of the Motley Fool over the past few years and how we’ve positioned ourselves to better grow.
